Whitechapel & Foodbank Donations

Whitechapel and Epsom & Ewell Foodbank.

A very big thank you to everyone who has donated this year (2019) and special
thanks to those people who gave towards the food/heating and gift vouchers appeal for the food bank.

The Whitechapel Trailer trailer went off filled to capacity with lots of warm clothing, food and toiletries to bring a little Christmas cheer. Many thanks, Steve and Lesley

Foodbank Epsom & Ewell. Whilst the whole of 2019 was busy for the Foodbank, December was exceptionally busy. On one day at one centre we fed over 140 people. The same week all our other centres were also busier than usual. Fortunately, due to the generosity of local people, we have had enough food to meet the ever-growing demand.

We cannot predict what 2020 will bring but we do know that we will continue to need your support if we are to continue feeding local people in crisis and food poverty.

The warehouse reopened last week and our wonderful staff has begun the mammoth task of sorting through the many donations that we received just prior to Christmas; therefore our wish list is only for things we know we are very short of –

  • Tinned meat pies (no alcohol)
  • Tinned meat
  • Tinned fish
  • Sponge puddings
  • UHT milk – blue
  • Powdered milk – all varieties
  • Sugar (500g packs only please)
  • Noodles
  • Nappies size 6 and 6+ only please
  • Clothes washing liquid
  • Ladies deodorant
  • Shaving foam

as at 16 January 2020

Thank you again for your support, and a Happy New Year from FoodBank
