Tuesday Fellowship
Previously known as Women’s Fellowship and still meeting on term-time alternate Tuesday afternoons, this is a meeting held to give people (now both men & women) an opportunity to get together during the week for companionship and refreshment, and also for the enjoyment of various speakers, slide shows, entertainment, and afternoons of Christian Fellowship provided by our own Minister and other invited guest speakers. In the past our meetings have included a demonstration of wood-turning, a visit to Chessington Garden Centre for tea, a speaker from the National Trust on Polesden Lacey, Margaret Watson (professional harpist) and illustrated talks on walks and tours in the UK and abroad
Over the years our membership has matured but there is much to offer newcomers, and we welcome the new ideas and views they often bring to our meetings. Do come along and share an hour or so in good company, find new friends and a ‘home’ where you can relax, listen to the speaker and enjoy a cup of tea and a natter afterwards – do give it a go – we look forward to meeting you. It is an important part of the week for many of our members who, because of its variety and relaxed atmosphere, attend regularly – but we love to hear the ideas newcomers bring.
The fellowship is run by a committee who arrange the programme in advance, so if you would like to give us a try, ask for a copy of the programme – we can assure you of a warm welcome.
