Bookings

If you’re looking for Hall Hire, why not try us? The Church Centre has a number of rooms available to the Community for meetings, children’s parties (age 4-11) etc between 8:00am and 6:00pm. Priority is given to children’s parties at weekends. Please note that we only accept parties where the majority of the participants are under 12, UNLESS you have a connection with the Church when each application will be considered individually. No alcohol is allowed on the premises (which includes the car park) at any time – there are no exceptions to this rule of the Methodist Church. The whole Centre is non-smoking, again including the car park and other external areas.

The premises are all on one level, all rooms heated and accessible by wheelchair, and there is an accessible toilet. There are three other sets of toilets, an entrance area and a kitchen with gas cooker with oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and kettles. There is normally no access to our own crockery, cutlery etc.

There is limited parking on the forecourt but no restrictions on the road other than 14:00-15:00 weekdays – however, consideration for the local residents and emergency services is requested in respect of both parking and disturbance before, during and after any event. Stoneleigh Station (Waterloo-Epsom main line) is about 400 yards distant.

  • Main Hall – 13m x 11.5m, seats an absolute maximum of 180 theatre style, 100 with tables, wooden floor with a stage, and a direct hatch to the kitchen. The Hall has 12 small and 7 large tables and 20 matching chairs, with 30 adult chairs. We use this room for the more active children’s parties, and it must be used for discos and bouncy castles (maximum height 4.5m.)
  • Link Room – Maximum 10.3m x 14.5m with a carpeted floor, serving counter with direct access to kitchen and seats about 100 with an audio loop system and ceiling projector installed. There are 11 large and 9 small Gopak tables in the Link Room, 87 adult chairs and 30 for toddlers.  This room is most suitable for younger children’s parties.

NB – we do not let the Hall and Link room to different parties at the same time.

  • Meeting Room 1 – a carpeted meeting room 6mx6m with seating and tables for up to 20.

Chairs/tables can be moved between the rooms if not in use elsewhere, and we have others in store.

We have a layout plan of the Church Centre here which will give you an idea of the possibilities and options, and also a video walkthrough of the main rooms available for letting. Sorry, we do not do show-rounds for one-off bookings, and we do not offer the premises on Sundays before 1:30pm.

The charges (from September 2019) for children’s parties are  £24.00 per hour for the Link Room or Hall, £36.00 for both. Charges for Room 1 are dependant on type of use. These charges apply to the total occupation time from start to finish.  The average children’s party is booked for 3 hours (which includes 30 minutes each side of a 2 hour event for setting/clearing up) – just £72.00.

If you would like to make a booking please email us or phone 020 8393 2155 first (you can check availability yourself on our on-line calendar). When you have agreed a date and time, you can then download the booking form; complete that and send/bring it to us (our bookings address is on the form)  with the full payment by cheque or cash – provisional bookings will only be held for 5 days pending receipt of the form and payment, after 5 days the date will be released without further reference to you.

Please note you have not made a booking until we receive (and accept) the fully completed booking form and full payment – an enquiry is not a booking!

You will need to retain page 3 of the booking form, and bring it with you when you collect the key.
