The site for the Church was chosen as the highest point locally, and we were known for some time as ‘The Church on the Hill’. Since the very beginning our focus has been on the use of the Church Centre as a community resource with Youth groups, Fellowship groups, badminton and table tennis, as well as regular Sunday Services and other ecumenical activities; children’s birthday parties at weekends are especially popular these days. Published January 1, 2017Our Jumble Sale this year will be on Saturday 4th February 2017 from noon ’til 2:00pm, our annual sale for the benefit of Stoneleigh Methodist Church and the 3rd Stoneleigh Scout Group. Entry 50p (dealers at 10:00am, £5.00). Refreshments will be available. Parking on Church forecourt and on the road outside – please show consideration when parking to our residential neighbours. Collection of jumble for the surrounding streets will be in the preceding week – leaflets will be delivered to the relevant homes.

This is an open invitation to anyone who has lost a loved one in recent years and who would welcome the chance to join others in a service of quiet thanks-giving. The loss of a close member of the family or a friend can leave one with a sense of loss that is never filled; over time it is possible to begin to cope with that loss, but one may never feel that the loss is overcome.
